Cancellation Policy

Ride times include instruction and necessary riding equipment. Riders who show up late for their appointment will have a shorter ride time. Please arrive 15 minutes early. For your safety and the well-being of our riders and our horses, we have several policies in place - please take the time to review these policies and share them with your fellow riders: POLICIES 1. Riders who do not have appropriate attire, such as long pants and sturdy, closed-toed shoes, will not be permitted to ride. Items not permitted are shorts, flip-flops, slip-on flats, and Crocs. 2. The RGF weight limit of 240 lbs. is non-negotiable. RGF reserves the right to weigh riders. 3. Our regulations require all trail riders to be at least 11 years old to ride unassisted on the trail. Our trail guide will pony riders aged 7 - 11. 4. For the safety and well-being of our horses and guests, we do not trot, jog, canter, lope, gallop, or “run" our horses on the trail. 5. Any person on horseback must wear a helmet. 6. Always keep at least one hand on the reins. 7. Do not scream, yell, growl, or make unnecessarily loud noises at the horses or fellow guests. 8. Smoking is not permitted near the stable or while on horseback. 9. We do not allow more than one living being on horseback at a time. 10. Follow the instructions of your trail guide or instructor to the best of your ability. If you have questions–ASK! We like questions. 11. Do not answer any phone calls, FaceTime, Skype, etc. while on horseback. 12. Do not enter the paddock or stable area without, or until instructed by, an RGF employee. 13. Riders who cannot mount and dismount unassisted from the mounting block or demonstrate basic control and ability to follow instructions will not be permitted to ride. 14. Please be kind to our horses. They work hard and are good at their jobs. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING 15. Riders must cancel or reschedule their ride 72 hours before their scheduled ride to receive a refund. All canceled appointments are subject to a 3% cancellation fee per rider to cover processing fees incurred by Red Gate Farms. 16. Rescheduled appointments less than 72 hours before the ride time are subject to a $15 fee per rider. 17. No-calls, no-shows, or rides canceled within 48 hours WILL NOT be refunded.
